On Sunday 14th April, Rachel will be taking on the Mighty Manchester Marathon in support of her friend and colleague Sam who has recently undergone treatment for breast cancer.

The adidas Manchester Marathon, the UK's second largest marathon and one of Europe's largest, is an iconic event drawing participants from all over the world to the vibrant streets of Greater Manchester!

"I am doing the marathon for The House of Hope in honour of my wonderful colleague, Sam Bertram.

Since being diagnosed, Sam has been so open with me and the team about everything she is going through. Her positive attitude to everything and her aim to raise awareness and understanding has been really inspiring.

It was amazing to hear about her involvement in the charity and about its aims. I lost my Grandma to cancer when I was 11 and I know that the support which the charity aims to provide via its centre and other initiatives would have been something which she and my family would have greatly appreciated. I would love to be able to help to raise funds for such a marvellous cause. "

You can show your support and donate to Rachel via her fundraising portal https://houseofhope.org.uk/fundraising/rachel-holt

Thank you for being a House of Hope Hero Rachel! We will all be cheering you on in April and we are so grateful to you for not only supporting us as a charity but also for the support that you have given Sam. As one of our voluntary advisory board memb
