Josie has been in post as the Breast Advanced Radiographer for 24 years and her role is to plan breast radiotherapy, provide on treatment review clinics for all breast cancer patients undergoing radiotherapy and the follow up clinic post radiotherapy for patients in Edinburgh. These clinics are designed to provide all breast cancer patients with advice, support and information on all aspects of their cancer journey and to provide follow up information after radiotherapy. Josie also does research and service development work both within breast and other areas within ECC.

The session is an introduction to breast cancer, its management, the radiotherapy process, what radiotherapy does, different treatment techniques and expected short/long term side effects.
